Prospective Bezos Earth Fund engagement pathway

Sustainable livestock and complementary alternative-protein innovation

Day 2 and Day 3 include dedicated discussions on alternative proteins and next-generation feed systems. The sessions will examine how insect, microbial, plant and fermentation-derived proteins can complement livestock livelihoods, improve feed security, reduce pressure on natural resources, support biodiversity and create new African investment opportunities.

The Bezos Earth Fund and other sustainable food-system philanthropies will be approached as prospective financing and knowledge partners. No partnership is implied until formally confirmed.

Partners the Summit seeks to convene

The partner architecture is designed to include the Government of Botswana, African institutions, multilateral and development finance institutions, research and technical bodies, bilateral partners, climate philanthropies, producer organisations, buyers and technology companies.
